We want to abide with all regulations of the Worldwide Australian Labradoodle Association to breed healthy puppies, with great temperament who have been socialized properly, in order to set everyone up for success.

When you want to get a happy, healthy puppy who will have less issues throughout it’s life – choose your breeder well.

 

There are some irresponsible breeders out there, who will breed dogs with known health-risks or who will do in-breeding with related dogs - thus creating a lot of health or character issues in their puppies.

 

Your breeder should be able to provide you with the puppy’s parents’ health tests (Hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, Patella luxation, eyes, heart, prcdPRA, vWD, EIC, DM and IC) and full genetical DNA test results. Genetic diseases can be traced through DNA testing and some of these dogs should not be bred. 

A breeding adult will go through several of these tests like Hip, Elbow X-rays, Patella tests etc. only after the age of 12-14 months, prior to breeding for the first time. 

 

The Australian Labradoodles are generally healthy dogs and their large gene pool ensures that inbreeding is avoided. Your breeder should also be able to provide you with the puppy’s Australian Labradoodle Pedigree. Even though, the Australian Labradoodle is technically a cross-breed and is not registered with the Int’l Kennel Clubs, the Pedigree can be issued with WALA and ensures that you can see the heritage of your puppy and what the COI is (Coefficient of inbreeding). The low COI significantly reduces the probability of puppies getting any hereditary conditions. 

 

The breeder that you choose should be a member of an association like WALA, ALAA, etc. in order to make sure that they are abiding by the rules and regulations as an approved breeder.

 

We breed only with multi-generational Australian Labradoodles and this breed is different in that of “the classic” Labradoodles (just Poodle and Labrador cross). 

The Australian Labradoodle is actually more consistent, the more generations of “pure” Australian Labradoodles it has in its ancestry. It is more consistent in their conformity of the breed standard, they have a more consistent non-shedding and non-allergenic coat and are more consistent in their beautiful well-balanced temperament.
